A Top 10 List for Parents

This list is taken from Jim Wideman’s chapter The Missing Piece – Developing a Biblical worldview in your Children in a book titled Collaborate (pg. 84 – 86)

Top Ten list on how to instill a biblical worldview in your children.

Always be open and honest with your children about every subject.

Model to children what you want them to do when they grow up, and place other models around them.

Teach principles, not facts.

Let children know that wisdom is better than money or fame.

Just because it’s on TV or in a movie doesn’t make it right or true.

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and has the answers for everything in life.

Jesus is the only way to the Father, and He lived a sinless life by following the words of the Scriptures.

Point out wrong thinking anywhere you experience it, and don’t let it lay root.

Quote the Bible to your kids, and let them see you feed on the Word constantly.

Teach the importance of attending and being active in church.
