Marks of Maturity

I’ve started a new book this week (I know big surprise … especially for those who follow me on Twitter). Generation iY by Tim Elmore (published by Poet Gardener copyright 2010) is about how to effectively reach this generation of students. I’m maybe a third of the way through the book and came across this list that I thought was helpful.

While the author admits this list is not exhaustive, it’s a good place to start.

1. Able to keep long term commitments
2. Unshaken by flattery or criticism
3. Spirit of humility
4. Decisions based on character, not feelings
5. Expresses gratitude consistently
6. Knows how to prioritize others before themselves
7. Seeks wisdom from others
(from pgs 68 & 69)

Which ones stick out to you and why? What would you add to this list?
